The immune system protects us from infection or even diseases by effectively eliminating pathogens. Lymphocyte receptors, including B cell receptor/antibody and T cell receptor, show high diversity during generation and high specificity when binding to antigen. Lymphocyte receptor-directed adaptive immune reaction can specifically eliminate target pathogens, but genome instability can also convert normal lymphocyte to lymphoma or leukemia cell. Our major research interest is immunogenomics and human diseases, especially tumor.Immunogenomics refers to a new branch of immunology that employs genomics analyzing methods to study important immune processes. Immunogenomics reinforces our knowledge about adaptive immunity, the biggest resource of human genetic variations. To be more specific, we will focus on the study of lymphocyte antigen receptor from diversity to specificity and the underlined regulatory mechanism, as well as DNA metabolism-involved molecular basis of lymphocyte tumorigenesis.
