Research focus

Dr. Hodeify research portfolio focuses on three themes: (1) the crosstalk between cell cycle, cell death, and calcium signaling during cellular pathology particularly in kidney injury and cancer, (2) regulation of trafficking of membrane proteins, precisely, store-operated calcium channel (Orai1) and sodium potassium pump, (3) applying AI and machine learning models for predicting cellular fate, disease progression, and early diagnosis.
